Restoring American Culture

April 03, 20253 min read

Each month, Hillsdale College publishes a short newsletter, Imprimis, which contains just one article. These are usually exceptional pieces of writing, as the school takes no federal funding and thus is free of the yolk of retardery which is pervasive in the rest of academia. In the most recent edition, Roger Kimball talks about restoring American culture, and the entire time I was reading it, I was wondering how long is too long for a piece in our newsletter, because the entire thing is worth the read. I will reproduce a few sections though which make the case for clawing back our culture and our sanity, which is essential if we want our future generations to have any semblance of what we call American culture. Because though that culture is very real, and reasonably definable, the attempt to erase it is relentless, and the shame tactics they try to use to bring down those aiming to preserve it have, to this point, worked well enough to find ourselves in this current state of national crisis. Writes Kimball,

After all, is it common sense to pretend that men can be women? Or to pretend that you do not know what a woman is? During her confirmation hearings, a sitting member of the Supreme Court professed to be baffled by that question. Is it common sense to open the borders of your country and then to spend truckloads of taxpayer dollars to feed, house, and nurture the illegal migrants who have poured in? Is it common sense to sacrifice competence on the alter of so-called diversity? To allow politicians to bankrupt the country by incontinent overspending? That's the start of a list one could easily enlarge.

In the cultural realm, is it common sense to celebrate art that is indistinguishable from pornography or some other form of psychopathology? Is it common sense to rewrite history in an effort to soothe the wounded feelings of people who crave victimhood? Is it common sense to transform higher education from an institution dedicated to the preservation and transmission of the highest values of our civilization into a wrecking ball aimed at destroying that civilization?

This diagnosis of patent uncommon sense is spot on. We must stop this. There can be no lukewarm complacency when dealing with the absurdities of cultural marxism. Let them call you a bigot, a racist, a homophobe, a transphobe. Let them call you that because those are just sounds they make with their mouths, which carry no weight except with those who will always hate you regardless of your compliance with their nonsense. Nothing could possibly matter less than offense taken by idiots.

Once you get on your knees, you don't get up. So don't bend the knee, and begin the inquisition. It took Spain seven centuries to reconquer and restore their land from invaders, and we don't have nearly that long left as a nation at this rate. Our reconquista is cultural, and very easy to exercise. Because it just takes enforcing already existing laws, and not allowing social shame to impact your decisions. We're shooting own goals here, men, by allowing feminism, communism, atheism, and socialism to hollow out our nation. This is such an easy fight if we try even a little.

If, at this point, you aren't considered a bigot by the idiots who sling that now-meaningless term indiscriminately, I don't trust you. If you aren't openly homophobic and transphobic, the way they mean it, I won't let you near my children. The battle lines are drawn, and it's going to take a roughed-up sword. Unfortunately, the covid hoax exposed just how easily many will fold. But we can reclaim our culture by simply mocking and rejecting the madness. The devil hates to be mocked, and make no mistake, the cultural degradation we are witnessing is of the devil. So accept the names, embrace the vitriol, be energized by their attempt to shame you, and take back the culture.

Stop catering to the nonsense people.

Cultural reconquista.
